Rushmika Malik

From a young age, drawing and creativity were my natural forms of expression. I made sense of the world visually long before learning words. Everything began as a feeling first, followed by understanding, whether it was the spaces I inhabited or the environments I worked in.

This curiosity led me to begin my creative journey in architecture. After working for two years at architectural firms in India, my foundation in architecture taught me to think about structure, materials, and how people move through space.

 

Over time, I became more interested in how those same principles apply at a human scale where form, comfort, and performance directly interact with the body which led me to footwear design, where structure becomes support, materials become sensation, and movement is central to the design process.
